I used to have music on my site, and used two local artists I am friends with. As I looked at other photographer websites, I found how annoying music is on a website and took it off mine. I think I am much better for it.

What does that have to do with copyright? Nothing. Someone still owns it, and you better believe ASCAP and BMI are still in control.

I dont think a bride has ever gone to a webpage and thought "Wow, they don't have music. I'm moving on."

I bet pages get closed because they can't find the link to shut off the music from time to time, though. I've done it.

100% agree... if I can not find the mute button within about .0005 seconds I am moving on. 99% of the time I have my own music going, unless I am there for music, I do not need or want it.
