To paraphrase the great Paul Harvey, I'm waiting for "the rest of the story".

Oh so many feelings after reading that. At least she had some good news after it was all said and done. I would certainly move far far away though.

So many feelings and I believe both sides bear responsibility. What is the shoulder of a public road for? Casual parking and loitering or emergencies? Especially at an airport entrance.

Wayne Photography by Design | Yeah, but you are only getting the plaintifs attorney's side of the story. I would be interested to hear the other side before I take sides.

I'd certainly like to hear LEOs side, but the information that supposedly comes from the court says her rights were violated and that LEOs have some unresolved issues.
It isn't worth $70M, but it is worth something and plus a change in leadership. That entire event went from bad to worse. I just don't see how so many agencies and the court could have made so many mis-steps. There must be something, but the rights that are supposed to be protected appear to have been sorely trampled on.
I hope we do hear the rest of the story here. I hate to see a town damaged and who knows what would actually be paid or when. If it were me I'd want to be financially whole, and to see heads roll.

I need to find out where this guy is going to be working next so I can get a law suit against that town(insert sarcasm sign here).

I cant, or wont rather, comment on which side is in the right or wrong. But I will say that if the city attorney didn't 'respond' to a 70 million dollar suit... one has to wonder.

Looks like there are potentially other issues here as well. What Was Really Behind Nassau County’s Gun Store Raids? Long Island Lawyer Blog
I just don't see a "terrorist threat" with so many agencies being called in on the photogs case and then "charges dismissed." In her case of a memory card or the above firearms, why is property being held? WHy are charges dismissed so far into the judicial process. Are there other cases like this and at some point, would it not be reasonable to assume there are personnel problems?
I'm getting ahead of myself as we don't know the whole story, just one detailed account of a couple of problems.

That doesn't make it excusable at all, but it may explain it.
The language in the blog is, let's say, a bit much on the dramatics, isn't it? I mean, is it worse that she is a mother of 3 than, say, a single guy? Especially when reading the article it appears that at least 2 of the 3 children are in their 20s? A lot of hyperbole in that blog. Doesn't mean that it is wrong, but I'm not going to side with her just based on that blog.

More to this than written here.... "In an attempt to prevent the lieutenant from damaging the camera, Nancy removed her memory card... "
