Red stripe tires may actually pre-date Canon's use of same. They came along in the mid to late 60s. The Canon 85/1.2 in FD mount is the oldest red stripe lens I can recall. It was the first L lens in March, 1980. Schneider even copied Canon on some of their view camera lenses.

Yep, not mine. I just pass by this car every day on my way into work and always think of that for some reason. Also reminds me of a Harley V-Rod Night Rod special ed. that was always parked outside for a while also. I think the guy ended up getting stationed somewhere else since he was active duty and I haven't seen it for a while. Could also be playing in one of the sandboxes also for a bit.
