The wait is KILLING me!!

So the laptop I'm on right now is a 2007 Sony Vaio, I've run it into the ground. I've illegally downloaded stuff, I've been to websites that's probably not the safest, all w/o anti-virus protection. So it's near fried. But my mom ordered me a brand new laptop (remember my mom controls my money) last week, and it's scheduled to arrive on Friday, but omg I want it NOW! And I'm trying to figure out how to get JourneyEd or Adobe my school info, so I can buy Lightroom and Photoshop at the student price and not pay full price.

I have an assignment due for my intermediate photography class tomorrow, and I have the pictures, one's edited, but I just took the other 2 and still need to edit them. I have to wait until 6:30 when the photography lab is open again, so I can go edit them really fast and send them to walgreens to print. All before my early bedtime. I cannot wait until I can do all my photoshop lessons, class assignment picture edits, and work picture edits all from home, on my own time.

Oh and for the record, I will still be illegally downloading and going to unsafe sites, just on this POS laptop and not on my new one.

Agree with the others on illegaly downloading/pirating software.

As far as getting Adobe the information the need all you need to do is send them a scan of your student ID and it will ask you for it when you order through the student store. If your school is like mine and your student ID doesn't have your picture on it they will require picture ID also, I just scanned my drivers license for them. Within 24 hours they got back with me and sent me the license keys.

The student price on LR3 is $99 and for CS5 Extended is $199. Great deals on both of them.

Actually, I was thinking about giving it up since the last 2 times I've tried to download a song, one gave me some "you've won a free computer, and wii, and ps3..." recording instead of the song, and the other song wasn't even on there. I guess I'll suck it up and pay the $1.99 on iTunes.

I've never downloaded anything like movies or major software. Strictly a song or two here and there.

I was going to go through JourneyEd.com - Academic Software Discounts! and get the Photoshop CS5/Lightroom 3/Corel Painter 11. Never heard of Corel, but it's basically $10 It's $299.95 for all 3, and I know the CS5 is $198.95, and Lightroom on there is $89.95

I emailed them a second time to ask if I can take a picture of my student ID and email it to them, along w/ whatever proof I can find w/ my name and school name on it.

That's what I did with my drivers license since I wasn't around a scanner at the time they sent me an email saying they needed picture ID also. Not sure what difference that made since they can't see my face ordering it over the internet. I just took a pic of my drivers license with my phone and sent it on to them.

I finally just called customer service, and asked if I could email it, they said yes, and gave me the email. I'm really hoping they actually respond. I could always go through Adobe's student thingy, but they don't have bundles! I really want a bundle of software.

Just went to the photography lab to edit 2 pictures upload them and be done. And guess what? Absolutely nothing was there. Not sure what happened to my memory card, I haven't touched it in like a week, and have taken and uploaded pictures since then. I emailed my professor and hopefully he'll give me an extra day to turn them in. If not that's an assignment failed. Well I do have one picture to turn in. So I'll get like 3-4 points out of 15. They say anything is better than a zero.

And yes, downloading illegally is stealing. You know it is wrong and still do it.

Me illegally downloading like 20 songs ever doesn't warrant deserving to fail an assignment. That's pretty outrageous and rude.
