Well Flint did it in 1635 The Eastern Front. This book sucked, he lobotomized Gustavus, made it Soap Opera de jour, and I, for one will never buy another one. Up till this one it was a pretty decent series, but he f**ked it up. Oh, well, back to Pratchett, and Weber. His stuff with Andrew Dennis was very funny and entertaining: The Pope books. Flint needs to have a second author like Pournelle and Niven to control his soap opera impulses. *rant over*
