If you lay tile??? - 03-16-2011, 10:02 AM

So if you lay tile occasionally...I had a brainstorm last night and it worked wonderfully...so I thought I would pass it on.

I always have a huge roll of that brown kraft paper..30 " to be exact. So while running back and forth to the saw to cut the tile and try to figure out the patterns I wondered if there was an easier way...viola...use the kraft paper and cut a paper. It is wonderful!! I sit in the bathroom and cut all the paper patterns. Then go outside and cut all the tile. Then I just have to trim the tiles to make them fit perfect. Makes life soooo much easier.

Just your life hint for the day...

renae... i used to do the same with posterboard since we had a bunch laying around... then kraft paper. whats funny is i still have a huge roll of that stuff left. makes for a great filler when shipping items... just crumble it up and place it in the box...

thanks

a tip for the next time you do tile... remove your baseboard first. it will give you some wiggle room when cutting against the wall.
