Thanks everyone.

So far the folks haven't wierded out on me at all...after working for a rather cold/reserved/everyone located in Milwaukee company for 10 years - I am soaking this up like you can't believe.... They (routinely) take the whole office to lunch on Fridays....tried this great Thai place on Westheimer today....all seven of us piled into 2 cars and headed out...

I bought a keyboard (microsoft split keyboard) and a rollerball (Logitech) mouse for my desk because that's my PREFERENCE - I can use a regular one - but I prefer the other and because I don't think 'preference' should make an employer buy new equipment when what they have is functioning perfectly well - I bought them at Fry's for my desk. Boss sees them and says: "Make sure you put the receipt in the folder - and add it to your time sheet for reimbursement - you'll be here a long time, so it'll get good use!" How cool is that??

Leslie - thanks for the awesome comment - and I'm not quitting photography - as a matter of fact - because my awesome employers are SO awesome - if I need to take off early/come in late for a shoot - they are fine with that ;-) They are just awesome that way! Boss-wife just took off cause she has a hair appointment....yesterday Boss-husband took off to get the dogs from the groomers. They are task focused - get the stuff done that needs to get done....and enjoy your life... Gotta love it.

Wow, sounds like a dream job! Do they need another secretary? ;)

Nothing feels better than to be appreciated. So happy for you!

It not often that anyone finds a job where the staff is so easy to get along with. Enjoy the new job and I hope you can stay there as long as you want to. Congratulations!

I'm really happy for you Donna. Being happy where you work is absolutely, positively rule # 1. Rule # 2: don't break rule # 1. Rule # 3, see # 2. And so on.
