Happened in Italy as the Bride and Broom posed with guns as props per photographers request.....
The really really sad thing is that he did this as a favor to another photographer who became ill the day of the Wedding

No kidding. It doesnt take much common sense to unload a damn gun before using it as a prop....

That happened quite awhile ago. That same week, another wedding photographer died when he was shooting a couple and fell of a cliff.

The other photographer was "ill". Ya. Uh-huh.
Sounds like somebody getting rid of the competition to me.

Maybe some with more experience with guns can help me out here. I grew up shooting shotguns and rifles. In my experience, we always had to squeeze the trigger fairly tightly to discharge the firearm. How do guns "just go off"? I can see if it was dropped, causing the firing pin to release. It would also have to be cocked first, wouldn't it?
The only other thing I can think of is one of the 'models' squeezed the trigger, playing around.

But I'm just curious as I hear these type of news stories fairly frequently where someone is shot and/or killed when the gun "just goes off".
