There's also Earth Day at the Arbotereum (sp), big weekend of events I guess! I think we'll try to make it to the Japan Festival, I haven't seen one since I was just a wee little one when my dad was stationed in Misawa, Japan. Was a lot of fun!

I've been a couple of times - pretty cool.
Usually not too crowded and plenty of photo ops.

Yep all outdoors (well, some small tents).

They also have a stage set up with Martial Arts, Dancing and Taiko drum displays.

If you plan to come to the festival, plan to be there early.
After 12, it's near impossible to get a parking spot close enough to the park.
On sunday, you're lucky if you can get in the park after 1.

i'll be there from 7am

The kids are usually up by 7am so we'll try to head out before 10. I've never been to Herman park so I wouldn't mind getting there early anyways to check it out and maybe ride the train before it begins. Yay, so excited!

Take the train. Park anywhere along Main Street.

Lots of good food.
