I'm proud of my prosecutors today. Jury verdict came in Guilty of Manslaughter of a father and stepmother who watched and waited while his 8 year old daughter died of appendicitis two years ago. Everyone said they could not be convicted, especially after Child Protective Services screwed the case up in every way possible. Larry and Lew felt strongly enough about this case that little Sarah needed a verdict of guilty for the sorry scumbags who allowed her to die alone and in agony. I'm d@mn proud of our prosecutors today, they did good work, and gave a dead little girl the only justice she can get. The defense lawyers fought hard, and the jury did not get most of the evidence, but still our guys perservered and they got the guilty verdict. Then the judge allowed the guilty parents to go home, and show back up in 45 days to be sentenced for Manslaughter. No child should die alone and in agony, no child.

That is horrible. Glad it did not go unpunished.
