makes it hard to keep a true interest in photography.

Maybe some have noticed my for sale adverts..

And with other things that have always had my interest,

heres is what is next in my life. Should be here in a week.

Any machinists here ?

A $3k Lathe is on my wish list now. Though a mini-lathe might be fun and useful to get in the meantime.

Ran both manual mill and lathe about 20 years for an engineering department and got to admit that it was tons of fun for me...I never had to do production work on them so it was something different every setup.

Well, I work in a machine shop, albeit not a machinist: I also have a 14 x 40 Logan lathe in my shop at home: the mill's on the list, but who knows when I'll get to that one... So many toys out there, so little time and money...

I'm a machinist. Worked on mainly cnc now. I've programmed and made items like medical biopsy tools to valves and fittings for gas chromatography to valves and fittings for the oil and gas industry.

Too bad you didn't get into machines 2 years back when a lot of the small shops around town closed down. Tons of machines available for pennies on the dollar. My old company scooped up a decent cnc fanuc lathe for like 3 grand.

So what kinda projects did you have in mind?
