The photos are heartbreaking. We've had a lease just north of Strawn for years and spend a ton of time at PK every summer.

I remember working the fire in Parker County several years ago. We were picking and choosing which houses to save. That was tough. One guy on the department that was driving the truck I was on quit the department right after that. We were one of the first trucks there. I'll never forget that. We lost 45 houses, and it burned around 40,000 acres. I was directing the helicopters to dump water on my head. I feel for those guys. I know what it's like sleeping on the back of a grass fire truck.
