A good friend of mine owns several car forums, When he told me drama stories from one I frequented I would ask "Who posted that", He would sometimes reply... "I don't know, just some idiot on the forum" I said I was going to make "Some Idiot" my screen name on the next forum I signed up on so that I could be "some idiot on a forum"...

My screen name is a pun. I taught geology. Geologists use rock picks. As a student and teacher I took many "pics" of rocks, usually on 35mm slide film. And yes, I photograph things besides rocks.

Mine a combination of first and middle initialls plus last name.
Most others sites my sign-on is either Capisce or No Capisce. Growing up in North New Jersey I frequently had Eh Luigi; you no capisce?; or hey you capisce?, directed towards me.

My wife and I used to play games at a place called "Virtual World".
They put you in a pod, and you virtually ran around shooting other "Mech Warriors".

Well, they wanted everyone to pick a nickname, or a "Call Sign". This was around the time that Top Gun was in the theaters, and people were picking names like Iceman, Maverick and Sundown.
I thought that was droll.

I picked my name from another movie. One called "The Ice Pirates".
John Matuszak played a character named Killjoy. He ran around ruining people's fun. Seeing as that was my intent in the game, I thought it was fitting.
It just kinda stuck.

Mine is a combo of my last name+ what I like + when I shot my 1st solo wedding.

Well, Studio Cygnet is what I named my studio and website. And a cygnet is a baby swan, and I've got hundreds of swan photos. But not everyone knows what cygnet means, so I thought it also sounded kinda modern to go with the internet, you know how everyone calls it the net. And since I joined here I got tired of typing the whole thing, so on most other forums I just shortened it to cygnet.
And there are a whole load of Toms and TomD's running around already.
