Question about the cost Canon quoted me - 04-27-2011, 12:47 PM

As some know I havent been real pleased with the quality of photos I have been getting from my 1D2. So I did some test shots and packaged that and camera up and sent it off to Canon.
I received a quote today. 335.58 what????? as it reads, recal the focus, clean and lube camera, update firm wear (I all ready did that myself, unless theres a update that doesnt show on the web site.) return to factory specs and a shutter count.
That seems a bit pricey to me. Maybe Ive got my head in the sand.

That doesn't sound out of line... IF it is a body that has been around a while (out of warranty) and/or some damage has happened to it. If it is basically a brand new body and didn't ever work right, I would expect that type of thing to be fixed for free.

They more or less have a set price to work on the camera, as I understand it.
