Know Good place to sell photo equipment?

I have had bad experiences selling photo gear on both Ebay and Craigslist... I have some gear im wanting to sell but don't want to get screwed over by selling it back to stores. Anyone know a great/safe place to sell?

I think he was being sarcastic. When he said "here?" I assumed he was saying "did you NOT see that we have a good classified section here?"

I agree, though. This forum is the best place to sell most photo gear. I've had good luck so far.

Actually the question could be valid. I know there is Lori Excel who can sell your gear, (I've heard of her gear selling, but never done it.) but I've wondered if something happened to me, would my wife or kids want any of my gear? They have no interest. I wish I could tell her, here is an easy way for you to sell my gear and not get ripped off. I'd hate to have to come back from up/down there because someone said my 300 2.8 lens was a Mk1 so it was only worth $300. A sound way to ship it all to one place and just wait for the check would be nice.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this already but you can try the Buy & Sell board at Texas Photo Forum. Just google "Texas Photo Forum" and once you find it, look for their Buy & Sell section.

Lori Excel is reliable. She does sell stuff, mostly on EBay.

Beyond that, one thing I found about EBay is that you have to make sure your account settings are set up so that only bidders in the US can bid, and only accept PayPal. Since I put those restrictions on, haven't had any issues with being scammed.
