If he disses the 5DMkII one more time, I'm reaching through the display with a pair of scissors.

yeah, he's not a big fan of the 5d Mk II in low light, plus it doesnt sound like he'll be shooting events or on location much as it'll be more studio work for him. A reason why he's moving towards medium format

scissors are tools like the 5D MK II, they sometimes work for certain jobs!
J/K John, but he has valid points if you have shot with some if not all the camera systems and you can under stand all the good & ugly sides of the camera systems......

I tested my MkII in my living room in pretty low light (one dim lamp), and it focused fine. However, with nothing but the TV on to provide light, it hunted like a hound.

Watched part of day 1 and it was some basic stuff that I needed to hear again. I did like his tip on how to avoid chaining your compositions to AF points, which I've been guilty of in the past, and how he shoots portraiture without using the continuous focus mode.

Day 2 is on their lunch break right now, about to start shooting outside.
