The 1Ds in since has not been replaced yet however, as far as I know Canon is no longer developing them and shipping them.
B&H has had the status of Out of Stock for the 1Ds for a almost over a year now. There are rumors of the 1Ds line and 1D line merging to make a FF 1DX that shoots 10fps. This before was not believable until they announced the development of the Digic5 chip.
In a since if Canon does take the 1D line to FF and 10fps with a MP count of 16-21 the High ISO noise will be so much better than what it is now due to a smaller pixel density (when high this causes digital noise).
Now there are some way out there rumors about the 1Ds replacement being the phantom 3D (medium format) but this is total speculation and has no factual backing. There are some posts on rumor sites about a 1Ds4 coming out in early 2012 and a 1D5 in mid 2012.
In closing, no one knows if the 1Ds line is gone totally or if just the 1Ds3 is no longer being developed for the 1Ds4 is on the way. Some people have posted reports of seeing a said 1Ds4 being field tested in Australia (where Canon does most of it's field testing). We will just have to wait an see what comes as far as announcements at the end of this year early next year.
