pull the card from the camera and do not do anything else to it.

there are many a program out there that can recover deleted files from memory cards.

It has been a while since I've had to use one (knocks on wood), but I believe it was that one and I was amazed at how much and how far back it was able to recover files.

But of course try what you got first. I'm sure they basically all do about the same thing. My main point is that you don't want to make any more writes or deletes to that media until after you attempt recovery because every new action to the card reduces your chances of file recovery if a new bit of data gets written over the old data.

Good luck and fingers crossed for ya.

Oh, thank the Lord and damn myself to Hell and back - this is what I get for cleaning my card off at the last minute and throwing the files into random folers... on my computer. Today's "dumbass" award goes to... STEPHANIE HILL! Lol. Found 'em. Life can go on now. But I am still getting a recovery program. Dammit.

I accidentally deleted some photos off of my SD card today, and I actually found a FREE program to recover the images. It actually recovered images that are over six months old! I was so happy!

If you buy Sandisk Extreme cards, each comes with a recovery disc. I think Lexar Pro may also.

I tried to use my RescuePro tonight and got a msg saying the license had expired! I thought once you bought the card and registered the software, it was good forever. Guess I was wrong. My year is up.

I ran into a problem once where I'd accidentally formatted and shot on a card, I ran the recovery software on it when I got home and realized my mistake. I didn't manage to recover any shots I'd taken that morning, but I did get stuff that was on the card from the previous summer. Weird as heck!
