The last 3 shipments I made via Fed Ex all got lost or were delivered to the wrong address - - and one of them was a passport and all the
ORIGINAL supporting materials necessary for a visa to live in England as required by law - - birth certificate, Soc Sec Card, offer letter, financial statements, etc. - - all things I would not want in someone else's hands.
They were absolutely certain and very arrogant about not having delivered it wrong. But we actually tracked the delivery down in New York ourselves, remotely from Houston but calling the depot, talking to the dispatchers, leaving messages for the driver, and calling the other stops on his route. We ultimately found the package in a hospital shipment drop on Amsterdam Ave and had to convince Fed Ex that this is where it was. It took 2 more days for them to send an inspector out to verify the mis-delivery and then they had to send a driver back to get it, plus another day then to get it back in the delivery system.
When we complained about the delivery and the charge we paid for overnight by 11:00 AM delivery (several days earlier), they suggested that we drive to the depot in the Bronx and pick it up ourselves... they didn't get that it was delivered in NYC and that we were in Houston...
One mistake, I'll look the other way. Two mistakes, I get worried. Three in a row, including a lost shipment of something that important and I'm done with Fed Ex.
