Hi y'all. I am trying to find a good photo of some South Texas brush country to use as a reference for a pencil drawing that I'm about to start. I can't believe how hard it is to find a photo like what I'm looking for, so I thought I'd ask for help here.
Here's what I'm looking for:
1. A standard 30-55mm view - not ultra-wide and not zoomed in tight
2. "Golden Hour" light - sun low in the sky (not cloudy or foggy)
3. Sun behind the camera and off to one side a bit - doesn't matter which side
4. mesquite, acacia, Texas sage, prickly pear, and/or yucca in the view
5. Not extremely dense brush - just a good "smattering" of brush/cactus
A bonus would be all of this with a barbed wire fence in the foreground, with the fence crossing the frame horizontally from left to right. The fence could be perpendicular to the camera, or it could have a slight angle away from the camera, but I am not looking for a fence that runs vertically through the frame (from near to far in the image)
I'm going to draw this scene with a couple of whitetail bucks jumping the fence. Here is a recent drawing that I finished to give you an idea of the kind of drawing I'm talking about.
If you have a brush photo that I could use, I'd be glad to give you a print of the drawing once I have it completed. Please PM me or email me if you do.
Thanks!
Shane
