It is always good to get them out of the way! To bad this year I had to pay instead of getting a return.

This is the first year I've had an above-board job for long enough that I had to file. Saddly, even though I gave the feds what I consider to be a more than sufficient amount of money based on my meager salary, they decided they deserve an additional cut. Ahh well, taxes and the eventual heat-death of the universe.

I just got my fed return this weekend. I have yet to open the envelope to make sure the amount is correct though.

My taxes have been done for a while, but I mailed them on Monday to beat the rush. I'm not that organized, but my accountant bugs me starting in early February, I send her a pile of paper and in retrun she sends me a bigger pile of paper and a bill.

Does feel good to be done with them for the year, even if I had for send in a few checks . . .(I lived in two states this year) I am one of those people that wants to send in a small check or get a small refund - I do not want a large refund - that means they were using my money and I get nothing for it!

I love that refund action ... we're due for some too. We usually split it and use it however we want, or put some toward our house or music, then split what's left. One year we bought a new t.v. with it and split the remainder. This year I think it goes toward some fixings on our house.
