Sonora Pass is open! I took a road trip to Bridgeport yesterday, and man, I wish I'd known how gorgeous it was long ago. Stunning vistas, and lots of camping areas along the way. Tioga Pass has a projected opening of May 12th, but rumors are floating that it will open as early as the 4th. Edie |

Part of the road into Lassen is now open too - from the SW entrance to the park all the way up to Bumpass Hell. This is over a month earlier than usual, and of course the entire park hwy will be open far earlier this year too. An amazingly warm, dry winter in northern California. |
