All this camera stuff is expensive, so I wanted to share a cheap but useful gadget I got recently. I wanted to be able to fire strobes wirelessly but didn't want to spend major dollars on Pocket Wizards, the AB wireless trigger, or similar. That's when I came across an eBay auction for just what I needed.

This IR trigger mounts in the hot shoe of my Digital Rebel and works great. It runs on 2 AA batteries and recycles almost immediately. Best of all, it was only $33, shipped. Obviously it can't do everything Pocket Wizards can but if all you want to do is shed the cables in a studio setting, this might work for you, too.
Hope this helps,
Greg
P.S. I am not in any way connected to the seller, joesphotoauction2000, but I can say that this eBay transaction went smooth. gg
