Yeah! The Raider Game is being Blacked Out

Well, the Raiders suck anyways, and I've never liked them to begin with.
But since they didn't sell out, the game will not be televised locally.
What that means, is that we get to watch the really good game.
The New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts.
This one should be about as good as a Superbowl game.

Hehe. I have friends who are Raiders fans (yes, it's true, I have friends :p )
and they give me a bad time about the 49ers. All I do is remind them that I was born in Boston. And while I'm on THAT rant, "How 'bout them Red Sox!"

Oh, and if you look at the records, that's also SIX in the last hundred years.
Yeah, I know. It's nothing compared to the twenty something that the (yuck) Yankees have, but it's better than a lot of others.

we're all upset here in houston... we have to watch the Texans v. Raiders.

we're gonna have to go to a sports bar that has the game plan in order to see it... it is gonna be a great game. i think the Pats will edge out the win

If you don't, at least the Texans vs. Raiders game should be fairly well matched as far as their records go.

Hmm, I give partial blame to Billy Buckner. As for the fact that you think they sucked for all that time, first of all, they did a hell of a lot better than a lot of other teams. Yes, the Patriots won the game. I'm happy about the end results, but I'll be the first to admit that they didn't deserve to win the game. Not with all of those penalties.
Abel, were you able to catch the game? Or were you stuck watching the Raiders?

Hey Kiljoy, that's why I don't watch football, it's too slow, it wasn't just that game with the penalties, it's almost every game that always has those penalties. Regardless of what team we root for, that's the beauty of baseball, no penalties, no slowing down the game. Well, there is the occasoinal balk, but I don't remember the last time I saw one of those happen. Screw football and it's flags!

we didnt get to see the game... although i did see the highlights and keep track of the scores ticker at the bottom of the screen during the Texans/Oakland game.

Texans did ok... they got the win but we really need some of our key players back from injuries..

ok, this is a total girl question, a girl raised completely with out any sports context and totally serious, not meant to cause angst and stress but...how is it relavant how many times a team wins over the course of the years if the players and management keep changing? It's not like its the same guys, only the name of the team and maybe the owner?

I could see if it was the same guys on the same team continually winning over and over but some times isn't it the same guys as the year before...only now they are on a different team?: :
