speaking of a zoo shoot...

last year here in houston we shot at the zoo the day after christmas... we got there very early and went in as soon as they opened. we actually made a group meet out of it and had a bunch of people show up. We had the whole zoo to ourselves for what seemed like 2-3 hours before the crowd started to trickle in...

Years back, the Super Bowl was being played in San Diego. My ex-wife and I, not being rabid football fans, decided to go to Disneyland instead. The place was practically deserted. I could not believe how short the lines were that day...

I've found the best days to go to the zoo is when it's raining. Not real hard, but just enough to make it unpleasant for most people. The crowds are smaller, the animals are more active and the light is better.

And it just so happens that the Oakland Zoo is just where I will be.

I did the early shopping thing once (think Joe Piscopo from the movie Johnny Dangerously). Once.
I'll NEVER do that again.
I went to Circuit City. It opened at 6am. I got there at 4:30. I was 150th in line.

So, in the spirit of Windy, I wll be taking photos like a photographer should be.

theres a youtube video of some mall in boise, that took in 30k people in a matter of an hour or so? some pregnant woman got trampled.. jeez

thats her fault, last year when the Red hot chili peppers were out here on concert i wanted to go sooo bad, but i was pregnant, i didnt go because i knew the danger i would be in the middle of the crowd

even still i wouldnt be pushing and shoving a pregnant woman, thats just flat out- awful

when ur in the middle of the crowd u cant see who's pregnant and all people care is to run in there and get what they've been in line for hours, it is awful, hope she's ok

crazy.... thats why lisa and i didnt even come close to a store on friday. screw that. hehe
