what you do is find another photog buddy who prints and invest together in a calibrator.

i bought a calibrator recently and man was it a wise decision...

are you printing yourself or sending them out to a printhouse... if sending out, who are you using?

get your self a Huey by Pantone...and then set your printer settings to "let photoshop determine the color" setting on your print dialog box. all can be had for under 60 bucks and the Huey works great. Even when uploading to online processing houses I have good color reproduction.

Only thing is...you can't calibrate dual monitors.
