For Import Car Buffs: I saw a Japanese Spec Skyline last weekend on the road.... right hand drive setup etc..

How rare are these guys here in the US. This is the second one ive seen on the streets here in Houston in like 10 years... I know back in the day they were VERY rare but I am curious to see if they are still a rarity..

thanks

There is two here in Sacramento, I'll try to get images of those for you. Also, the same owner has a RIGHT hand side 03 mustang from Australia.

R34? It's hard to get non-car people to understand the raw awesomeness of the RB26DETT, the electronic differential control system, and the record setting times on the Nurburging!

The rarity actually depends on the year.

(Ive worked in the import industry for 10 years so I may just have the opportunity to see more)

Know a few people that own R32 and R33's. (Which are more common as it was a bit easier to import these) Ive seen a few R34's (A couple local manufacture GM's own them) The R34 is much more rare as it is basically illegal to import them to the US. There was a company doing it for awhile MOTREX (which made people believe it was legal) But the owner is now in prison (may be out now) for illegally filing the paperwork as an "R33".

All in all not something you see every day. Id say I see 99% more Lamborghini's and Ferrari's driving around.
