The start of the new year....Blah! - 01-02-2008, 01:36 PM

Abel's thread about the wheel bearings got me thinking about this...

Right before Christmas, I bought some new 22" rims and tires for my Expedition...4 days later, I ran over a bolt on the street, and it puched a hole clean through the tire, and rim. ($500 replacement rim and tire)

December 28th my 24" iMac crashes after only having it for 8 short months. I had all important photos backed up, but I'm sure I will have to reload all software, and hardware components after I get it fixed...

What a great start to the New Year, I hope it gets better.

That has to be one cheap rim and tire or is that a deductible for insurance? my tires alone are $416 each rear tire, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 315/30R18 and $386 each front tire Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 295/30/R18.

BTW, I buy new tires every 6 months

No, my neighbor owns a car lot, I got the rims and tires at his cost. Retail was around $750 p/ rim and tire.
