The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is online...

It's a great reference tool in order to study the technique, posing and lighting setups etc.

LOL!

Articles... I dont read the articles... I just look at the peek-tures.

It's crazy as to how much can be learned from simply observing and studying other peoples photographs. Early on when I first started photography I never really studied photographs like I do now. Now I really take notice when I see stuff online I like, magazine covers and other magazine spreads etc in bookstores. It really has helped me out a ton!

I have a ton of magazines of all varieties that I think have great photography in them.. my wife and I usually make a Barnes & Noble run once a month and I stock up on all of the new issues of my favorite magazines which cover diverse subjects such as Photo, Tattoo, Auto, Music, Women's, Men's, Sports etc etc.

I poked around the SI:SE galleries for a little bit and noticed quite a few things. They seem to rarely use off-camera lighting, they often will over-expose a background just to get the model's tan, the photographers seem to use varying degrees of DOF without any standard consistency. Not that they're taking many bad photos, theres really no such thing as a bad photo with those models in the frame.
