Have to start somewhere...
I was inspired by one of my friends who were even more out of shape than I am. His wife was complaining about how hard it is for her to do things. They talked and then made an agreement to do something, anything to get back in shape. So they decided back in November to do five pushups a day, every day, and one more pushup a day is added every Sunday. Therefore, for the first week, they did five pushups a day, every day. For the second week, starting on Sunday, they added another pushup every day. For the third week, they added another push up which gave them seven pushups a day. You get the idea; increase the pushups by one, once a week.
I just seen him on Friday, and he stated that he has lost 17 pounds and his wife has lost 22 pounds. You can definitely tell that he is loosing weight.
Well Rose and I started today, I was able to knock out my five, and Rose squeezed her pushups as well.

I started a program as well in December after seeing a number on the scales I never wanted to see again. I set a goal for myself and joined 24hour. My goal is to lose 100 pounds in one year. By the end of February I had dropped 30 pounds but then I hit a wall along with getting sick with that wonder bug that has made the rounds this spring. Finally getting back into the groove and I'm down 3 more pounds since March 1 but I must say it has been a very stubborn 3 pounds.
My program is pretty simple really, I'm doing a lot of cardio and walking. Food wise I eat what I want with the exception of sugar. The only rule I have is the serving can't be any larger than my fist.
Whatever you do, I wish you luck with it.

Well last night we both did seven pushups instead of five of them. Rose is really into the idea of this.

I crawled into bed last night, exhausted from the long day at work and thought to myself "Cr@p, I didn't do my pushups". So I crawled OUT of bed, and did them right there on the bedroom floor, and crawled back into bed.
I'm not sure if it was the exercise or the satisfaction of having done it that helped me sleep.

As of this February I've forced my lazy butt back into a relatively stringent workout routine, and working in a restaurant for a few years has kept my body active enough to hold my figure. However, in light of this thread, I've decided to push my routine a little further and get back into running (ran cross country way back in the high school days, my goal is to get back to hammering out some distance again).
Can't guarantee I can do it every day once the weather hits 100+, but I'll certainly try =)

I've added about 1/3rd more weight, so I want to get back to that size when I was in shape. I have all of my old BDU's that I'd like to get back into again.
