Foreigner trying to find work in the USA!? - 05-02-2008, 07:35 AM

Hello everyone,

as some of you might know from my introduction on here, I am trying to come back to the US, preferably California. I know that this is not a job forum, but wanted to ask if any of you know photographers in the California area that are seeking also foreign photographers/assistants. The problem is that I would require sponsorship with a temporary work visa. Anyone has some ideas or tips?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck with that, california is really being hit hard. Lots of layoff's, and a recession. I'm thinking about leaving CA and going to Arizona..

I didnt see that one coming. Where you there with the Armed Forces and how long did you live there? Trier is just 1 1/2 hour from where I live.

Not sure if the position is filled or not but Don Barnes on TPF was looking for an assistant last week. Don does a lot of Weddings and Seniors. I think it pays minimum wage and you get free room in upstairs of studio. Of course, it is in TX and not CA ............I would love to live in CA if I had the chance.

Don is a great guy. I have been a second shooter with him on two weddings and he let me use his studio for senior shoot for my neice.
