A rant of sorts - 07-17-2008, 11:38 PM

Well, to some dismay, a model canceled on me for a shoot tomorrow. Why only some dismay? Well, I usually meet up with the model prior to the shoot to discuss what will happen on the shoot, ie style, wardrobe, etc. I know not everybody does this, but in this case it gave me a good indication of her seriousness regarding the shoot. She had to pospone twice the initial meeting, including once, because she was moving, in the middle of the month, hmmmm, interesting I think. But anyways, we had picked this Saturday 3 weeks in advanced. But, I'm now not too sure if I want to shoot with her any longer. So, if anybody wants to chime in with their two cents, feel free.

You gave her three opportunities to meet up with you, which is one too many. Find someone else that is dedicated or more professional.

I shoot models quite often. Flakes are common. Check references, and if you have a bad feeling RUN! Dont bother with one when there MANY more willing and ready to shoot.

You are so correct sir!!! Flakes are abundant when it comes to models, especially when these days with the advent of the "internet" model. And that is excellent advice, I found out that the hard way, had a bad feeling one time, didn't run, and trust me, headaches ran rampant!!! But the good news is that I did learn from that, I was supposed to shoot with this one model, and got that bad feeling, I ran, and I don't regret it one bit.
