This is going to be a very politically incorrect project.
I'm always the guy that is trying to behave, not do the taboo things, and keep out of trouble and controversy. I've always been very respectful, try to be polite and mindful of people and cultures around me. There have been many opportunities in which I could have EASLY done the WRONG thing, but I tend to take the righteous path because I’m always worried about presenting a bad character.
A while ago, my son was born and a couple of my friends passed away. They have children that are a few years old. We have always talked about wanting to do things and go places and get wild. One of the conversations that occurred quite often was to take certain pictures in which we knew our wife’s would not appreciate, but most automotive enthusiast and straight man would.
The project that I’m working on is about taking those taboo images that my friends and I have talked about doing. They are not around, but I am, so I’m going to do what was talked about. The shots can be considered perverted, immature, boyish, lustful, demeaning of women, and perhaps even chauvinistic by women. Even though this project will not meet the approval of most women, it does not matter, because I’m doing this for the guys… and myself. This is about putting posters of women, tools, and hot cars, in man-caves and garages, beating our chest and acting like apes.
