Tradeshow and Convention for Photographers

hey guys, do you know any new trade show and convention for photographers soon? How come we don't have trade shows for photographers in CA? Always in NY and las vegas.

Large trade shows will always be held where the promoter can make the most money...They look for a location that combines the lowest cost (to the promoter), the biggest display area (to accomodate many vendors and large crowds) and local attractions to bring in as many attendees as possible...That's why LV and NY are chosen...

When I was in the gun business, I attended the S.H.O.T. Show annually...It was held in many large cities throughout the south and west...Now it is held only in Orlando and Las Vegas for the reasons above...Ben

I'm sure that San Francisco would love to have a large trade show like that.
They have the Moscone Center which is a pretty nice place to hold a convention.

I know that I won't go to Vegas just for a camera convention.

Thanks for the info Ben. Let me know if there's gonna be a new tradeshow near Cali except for vegas..

WPPI was in Vegas in February

Not sure what the next one is.... PMA I believe..
