Folks, I got this in my e-mail this morning.



Dear Yahoo! Subscriber,

Yahoo! and AT&T are finally merging together to serve you better. ALL Yahoo! Email users are subject to a general migration to the All new Yahoo! and AT&T Wireless Global Server. Please, help us verify your identity for security reasons. To participate, complete the space below with your email address and password to confirm you are the true owner of this Yahoo! account:

Your Yahoo! Email Password:

Failure to do this, would render your email address deactivated and deleted from our database immediately. ALL email accounts not confirmed, will be deactivated to create space for New Users. Simply click "Reply" and get this sent to us immediately. Remember, Yahoo! recommends you download and install the new Internet Explorer 8 for effective browsing and more Security.

My sister-in-law had just lost her hotmail account to some people phishing.

Being the suspicious type anyway, I checked my wife's Yahoo account, and lo and behold, there was no warning message.



Don't fall for this stuff.

The first thing that tipped me off was the "warning" that my account would be immediately cut off.

The second thing was that I was to reply to that e-mail, not that I was to go to a web site and verify anything.
