I Hate Microsoft - 04-30-2009, 10:24 AM

I made the mistake of upgrading to IE8.
I didn't like it.
So I went to downgrade by using the "System Restore" function.

It backed up to IE7, but IT had screwed up all the settings, to the point where I couldn't get them back.

So I tried to undo my system restore point.
Now when I try to open IE, it immediately closes.

Attempting to perform another System Restore keeps telling me that it can't do it, and there have been no changes to my system.

So if I want to really fix it, I will have to reinstall windoze.
That means reinstalling all my programs as well.

Or, I can just stick with Google Chrome, which I should have been using in the first place.

I hate the Evil Empire.

Firefox for sure. When I'm stuck in a PC, that's all I use. Much more stable, better interface, etc etc

I was able to recover IE8.
I tried using it. I posted a reply in a thread, and click on the spell check box.
It gave me an error, asking me to download the iespell which I already had.
Then there was a box at the top of the screen blocking it.
So I told it to allow, and it deleted everything I had typed.

It appears that you need Internet Explorer simply for Windoze updates.
You can't get them with other browsers.

I'm getting used to Google Chrome, and I am beginning to like it.

Notice any trends Alan?
Firefox/Google Chrome
I wish I could remove IE without buggering up my computer, so I ignore it.

Found a problem with Google Chrome.

Anybody know a way around not being able to see exif data?
There's apparently no plug in yet.

Try using Firefox. Never lets crud through like IE did.
I could not tell you if it would have the same issue as Google does, I don't look at Exif.
