Never been cubed - been fortunate to be in the tech business for (holy crap) almost 24 years and always had my office!

Not sure if that makes me "free" or just in a larger cage!

Former job was officed in a real room - now I am semi-cubiced, soon to be really cubiced once they finish renovation on our new digs. Yuk.

Worse part is prior to our buyout and migration to the new job, I could go to work in sandles and shorts and have a beer at lunch with the boss. Now we all have to wear real pants (khakis, etc) except for the occasional Jeans day, and collared shirts. Oh the Humanity! And no liquid lunch! Aargh.

The great thing about being a philosophy professor is that you're not expected to dress smart. In fact, if you did, no-one would take you seriously. Of course, the not so great thing is the pay, or lack of it.

That's funny! I am a *free ranger* and I don't think I would be happy as a CUBER.
