where is the inland empire

Just having a little fun, I know it is somewhere west of Onalaska where I live. I wonder if any of the folks in the inland empire know where Onalaska is, not many Texans do.
So what is gained by making the site 1/2 california

Temecula - Murietta area, about 1.5 southeast of LA and 1.5 northeast of San Diego. (or there-abouts...)

Used to go out to a place we called the Hilton-Onalaska to listen to a friends band while at SHSU, that is till a pool cue was broke over a friends head LOL

Most folks I know in the inland empire would have trouble finding Texas; they're quite happy in eastern Washington :-)
