There's no complete beginners section as of yet but there are a ton of help threads to help you along.

I highly recommend this book for beginner photogs. It thoroughly explains all of the attributes in regards to photography... its loaded with sample photos which makes it much easier to comprehend:

Yeah, dont be scared. Just jump in. The users here are nice and if they arent the mods and users will correct it toot sweet.

Watch out for this Tom guy though. I hear he has gas...

Does Tom have gas or GAS - I have GAS. I'm with everyone else come out and shoot tomorrow morning at Glenwood. Tout De Suite.

Novice, just so you know "GAS" means "Gear Acquisition Syndrome".. means buying tons of GEAR!

ps.. consider entering in your first name as its easier to talk back and forth rather than calling you "novice"... =)
