Worldsplay.com - lifes a game play well.

I wanted to pass this website along and let pixtus'ers (?) lay the gauntlet down on this worldsplay.com. and full disclosure... I knew the owner through my wife through a coworker etc etc, and I am working with him to eventually provide photography for the site.

The concept is pretty simple, basically if you feel like playing say... basketball, and you live in houston, you go to the website and tell it you live in houston and that you want to play some basketball. It will see if anyone else has created an event and if not, will prompt you to make one. Then others can join. The cool thing is that it brings strangers together who may not otherwise may not know or be able to get enough people together for a specific event at times that work for the group. The website does the hard hairpulling work for you.

I asked the site owner to add a photography for giggles in case anyone here wanted to try it out for a photowalk or something.

Its still pretty "alpha" status, and hes trying to gauge interest and how much of his savings to put into this site before he goes back to a full time job, so if you check it out and see how things work for you I know feedback would be much appreciated.

Bottom line is, I think the concept is fantastic, and I hope he can get it off the ground, but I know he needs a lot of testers. Check it out, and have fun. Hes using it a lot for golf in the san fransico area at the moment, so some of you Cali folks might even get some instant use.
