I was impressed that he let Don Carter accept the trophy from the Commissioner!
And, yes, he did offer to pay for the parade, out of his own pocket.

I thought to myself, that if the Dallas Cowboys won the Super Bowl, that Jerry Jones would have made the city pay for the parade, then he would have sold naming rights to it, been in charge of the concessions, and charged an admission fee to the public!!

That was because a city councilman said that after having to fire all those teachers due to budget constraints that people would be very upset if the city turned around and spent money on a parade for a sports team.
