Sad. He will always be the grandfather in Princess Bride to me, along with Columbo of course. One of his best lines was years ago, when he won an Oscar, or whatever. In his acceptance speech, he went something like, "You know, it's not just the star that makes the movie. There are hundreds of people behind the scenes you will never see. They don't get any accolades, they don't get any press, they just spend their lives making the star look good. After all that work, all those hours, it comes down to the spotlight on the star, alone, the one who gets all the awards." People were almost in tears, he was so eloquent.
