I was on my way out the door to a shoot.
Had too much stuff in my hands. Camera bags (two of them), bag of odds and ends, lunch bag, and my brand new iPad (64 Gig 3G).
Guess which one slipped out of my hands?
Right on the face, and slid across the driveway.
A shattered screen and a bent case.
I bought it with my Mastercard. I figured, "I have price protection, damage protection, etc" with my card. So I called Chase only to find that it's a limit of $250.
For years I've been telling people at sales counters "I don't need that extra warranty, my MasterCard doubles the warranty!"
WRONG!!!!!!!!
Not only is it a limit of $250.00, but it's only for 60 days from the date of purchase.
Learn from my mistakes folks. Check the "benefits" of your credit cards.
They may not be as great as you think.
There is a local company who has repair parts. They are closed on the weekends (more of my luck). But it looks like it's going to set me back about $300.00 to get it fixed with a new case and a new screen.
I'll report back when I find out the total damages. As for a photo of it? I'm too depressed right now.
It looks like today, I'm the bug (referring to my signature).
