I just read the biographies of the astronauts and was reminded at just how incredible those individuals are. words can not describe the visual and emotional feelings of this event. Watery eyes and feelings of joy and proudness. Just to think that 30 years ago the Shuttle program started and we did not have the technology for people like us to watch a live launch via the web. It all started with sending one man into space to orbit the Earth, to landing a man on the moon, the shuttle program and even further to living extended periods in space. The entirety of the space program from start to now has opened doors and fields that could never have been foreseen. The men and women that have made this program a success shale be remember for an eternity and those that gave their life shale always be honored and recognized. Godspeed Atlantis. |
