I hope I didn't step into something too big with this guy. My other dog is pretty small, and they're about the same size now. My other dog is going to be in for a shocker though; this new one is a Great Dane. I call him "Achilles".

Thanks.

He has a harlequin sister with blue eyes. She looks really cool.

It's going to be interesting when you get him trained: walking around the neighborhood shouting "Achilles! Heel!..

No kidding.

He likes to lay up in the bed and get in your lap. I don't look forward to him wanting to do that when he weighs 150 pounds. His dad is 33" tall at the shoulder, and his mom is 32" tall. I've gotten him away from wanting to lean on people, and I'm working on him with a leash now. When he's a monster, he won't be so easy to push around. He's grown about 1/2" inch in a week.

He's adorable and they're supposed to be great, easy going dogs. I have a friend that has two and she just loves them!

As long as you know going into this that he's gonna be a giant sized dog and don't decide in 2 years that he doesn't 'fit' your household.... I'm super happy for you.... ;-)

They are adorable dogs....great tempers from what I've read/seen/heard....but giant! ;0)

I have had to readjust his collar almost every other day for the last week. He keeps outgrowing the size.

He sleeps in his crate at night, but once he outgrows the huge kennel we have for him, I'll pull his bed out and put it in the bedroom on the floor.

He is spoiled already.
