Arrow Wanted: Photogs Interested in Reviewing Restaurants? - 07-09-2011, 02:02 PM

My close personal friend Daniel which was a VERY important part in the moving, merging and reestablishing Pixtus online is currently looking for some help with his current project. He put in a ton of hours of his own personal time in order to get Pixtus online and I am looking to help him out in any way I can to help somewhat come close to repaying him.

Daniel is admin of http://www.TopThisPlace.com which is a site/forum that focuses on travel, food and fun. He is currently looking to hire several photographers located in major cities throughout the U.S. on a paid by article basis to help build his Restaurant Review content.

Pay:
  • $50 per thread/article.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to review in major U.S. cities only
  • Written review of overall restaurant, food, atmosphere etc
  • Minimum 5 photos (640px wide) of establishment. Exterior, interior, food, etc
  • Must get approval from Daniel on your suggestion of places to review
  • Only use the Top This Place supplied logo, no personal ones allowed
  • Maximum 2 reviews per person per week
  • Independent, quirky and non chain style restaurants are a plus!

Example Reviews:
Example Photo:

How to Apply:

If you're interested please send Daniel you details as listed below via his Contact Us Form located HERE.
  • What U.S. city you live in
  • Writing experience if any (not necessarily needed)
  • URL to some of your current photos (not necessarily related to food etc)

Thank you for your time.

Lubbock? No not at the moment I am kind of focusing on the major cities but if there is a pretty unique new place opening up that has a great story behind it I may be interested in having you shoot it and review it. Kind of just depends on what it is.

Very cool. Not sure I can write a good food review. Maybe I can get my 2 year old's perspective.

Too bad this wasn't offered the last three years when I was traveling internationally... I'd be interested but I imagine there's a lot of offers coming in from Houston...?

So count me in on the Lubbock side of things as well... So probably not much help to you at the moment.

But I did have a question for clarification -- is there an expense reimbursement as well as 50 per article, or is the 50 to cover cost of food ordered at the place as well?

Nevermind -- I'll take care of it myself!

Its more for those that enjoy going out to eat at various places as it is.. I mean for those going to a place to eat anyways, why not make a little extra cash on the side. =)
