Hahaha! Well, I did my first quinceanera dress shoot the other night for triplets, that were late, and couldn't stop fighting and bickering with each other. So I would agree with the 'torture' comment!

Mr. Barlow, I'm assuming that you are more into Cajun traditions there in Beaumont, so here goes.
It is a Mexican tradition for girls who reach the age of 15, quince anos in Spanish, to be given a coming out party, for lack of a better term for it. It is a HUGE deal, so it normally has non- family sponsors who help the family pay for the party. Dress. Limo. Huge dance hall. Anything goes.
Socially very important to do it right.

I'm not sure what the point of your post is supposed to be. My area is as Mexican as it is Cajun. I very well know what a quineanera is. I can count in Spanish, as well.

Why did you assume I don't know what a quinceanera is? Robin asked what to call the shoot, referencing 'bridal' for brides. My response was a joke, a play on words, bridal/quiceaneral.
