I'm going Amish - 08-09-2011, 06:09 PM

First the computer and now the cell phone. My droid X has decided that occasionally it will either freeze, or the pages will flicker. In order to get it to do something...anything, I have to take the battery out. When I take the battery out, it chooses a time it likes...random time..never the correct time, and the date is ALWAYS December 31, 1969.

Verizon denies it is their issue. Sent me to Motorola. Motorola said I can send it in since it is under warranty and leave it with them for a week or more and be without a phone. : (

So I figure if I go Amish I won't have to deal with the computer or the phone

it appears they think a chip or something has gone bad in the phone because the phone works correctly once it is reset. Then when the battery comes out, it reverts to 1969. So ...time for a new phone....in another year. lovely...

I got my wife an upgrade early because her phone stopped working eight months out from an upgrade - push them hard enough and it'll happen. If you need some help switching to film the Pixtus film family is nice enough to help out anyway we can ;).

I may push them in a couple weeks...we have 5 people on the plan...give them plenty of money and always on time...they should like us.

film...I have one and have thought seriously about it!!

BTW...I looked on chat...no 8 strings in the house, but a nice 12 string and multiple 6...from $100 to $5,000...take your pick to practice on !!

Given enough time someone will come out with an "Amish Linux" distro.

I just want to ask if I can come take all the other non-Amish items out of your house. I mean if your going Amish you don't want those dang modern things tempting you back to evil right!!!
