Apparently someone died at Yosemite (Half Dome). The post that I linked to is trip report on a climbing site(I grabbed it from a post on Big Bend Chat) is pretty graphic and mentions that it was a possible suicide. It's hard to comprehend what the witness wrote... Don't click if you are squeamish

Man that is horrible. Has to be a really bad effect on those observers for awhile. It would be extremely hard to get those visions out of my head.

I worked with mentally ill, people that committ suicide have no idea what they are doing to others...if they survive their attempt, they have a different outlook on what it has done to their friends and family.

100% agreed.

I'm a skydiver in the sport for over 10 years. The human body after ground impact from a high altitude is most certainly NOT a site to behold.
