I am sure he thinks he is awesome. Ridiculous. He doesn't seem to do it for good photos. Seems like it is more because he wants to be in their faces.

Part of his business plan is probably to get his ass kicked, then sue.

Street shooting can be a bit tense at times. When I see something on the street, I'm usually quick and relatively discrete.

There are times when I'm shooting buildings and people will seem a bit hostile towards me even though they are no where near the frame.

That said, I'm sure he'll wind up with a broken camera and/or nose in the future. Then again, he seems smart enough not to shoot people are look like they could beat him up.

The other thing to remember is photography creates different reactions depending on where in the world you are. This style of photography would surly get you whooped here in the states in the wrong parts of town. However; this is in the UK and their preseption is different. Just like in Asia it is way different from UK and US.

I am not saying his style is okay or not okay it's his style but you have to consider all things before talking down. To each their own imo, but yes it does seem the way he does it would eventually lead to confrontation.

When I think of the great street photographers, I think of men and women that didn't seek to influence the image that they created, rather they captured what is there.

I prefer to work with a more discreet lens for street photography. 85mm 1.8 or 135mm 2.0 are ideal IMO.

I don't think I would do this type of photography myself, but I don't pass judgment on Fabio's - he does what he does and who am I to tell his that what he is doing is ridiculous or inappropriate. Yes, someone may not like his approach and will let him know, but I certainly don't wish him any harm. He is not hurting anyone, but I can see how his approach can be annoying.

Live and let live.

I'm sorry but my first reaction would be to punch this guy out if he stuck a camera in my face. It would be a reaction to his movement toward me quickly almost like he was trying to hit me.

Its one thing walking up to someone and taking a closeup shot but shoving the camera in someones face like your going to hit them with it would cause me to react by shoving my fist into his face. I'm surprised someone didn't throw their arm up to block it instinctively and knock it out of his hand.
